An Unrequited Love Ft. Naina Talwaar (YJHD)


"Nahi bol pae, bas nahi bol pae. Mujhe usse jitna pyaar tha usse kahi jyaada usse apne khwaboo se tha." This scene was heart wrenching for me as well a realization moment. Naina( Deepika Padukone ) taught me it's not necessary that the person you love will always love you back. And that when you don't get the love back, it's not the end of the world. Naina is a character which has inspired me in so many ways and i am sure even u have learnt something or the other from her.

From being a book-worm to a confident young women her journey had one thing in common from start to end- ie. she did what she wanted and what her heart thought was correct.







Unrequited love is when the love you offer is not given back to you. But in this case, we are talking about the love which is left unreciprocated. The person you love doesn't really know that you love them. It is one of the branch of one-sided love.

In Naina's case, she din't told bunny about her feelings as she thought that his dreams are more important than her feelings. She understood that things are not gonna work as bunny is never stable and keeps on travelling while she wanted a stable life with a strong bond between them. While this was about them but most of the times people don't emote as mostly they are scared of the consequences or they already know this can't stay forever. 








"8 Saal beat gae hai usne kabhi mudd ke nahi dekha aur maine intezaar bhi nahi kia". Naina taught me that waiting for someone is worthless. It's just not worth waiting for someone to return, to get back the same love or the love you want. Instead use that time to look upon new opportunities life has to offer, meet new people, indulge in yourself rather then waiting for someone to bring colours back to your life. 

Naina had her own reason to not tell bunny about her feelings but what is yours? If you don't tell about how you feel how are they ever gonna know? I believe in always letting people know about what you actually feel about them. Being transparent is of most importance. Transparency brings people alot more closer and make them believe in you. If you like somebody tell them, want them just say it. It depends on you. The most that will happen is they will reject you but atleast you don't have the burden of losing someone without even trying. So just let emotions flow.


In 'YJHD', Naina and Bunny got together at the end but in real life your unrequited love won't magically turn into a relationship for that you have to tell'em . After all not everything always has a happy ending. But that doesn't mean you just leave everything and keep sobbing. You are the reason for your happiness and nobody else. Remember that!
